How solar battery microgrids, organic high-tunnel gardens, and river habitat conservation protect Judd Lake and the surrounding Tordrillo Range.
Nature First: Off-Grid Solar & Wilderness Conservation
Operating a luxury expedition lodge 60 miles from the nearest road requires absolute dedication to environmental stewardship. At Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, our Nature First initiative guarantees that our ecological footprint remains minimal.
Key Sustainability Milestones
- Solar Microgrid & Battery Storage: Offsetting generator emissions during summer lodge operations.
- High-Tunnel Organic Gardens: Growing fresh herbs, greens, and vegetables on-site for our culinary program.
- Salmon River Protection: Partnering with regional conservation bodies to preserve wild King and Silver Salmon spawning habitats.
