Sixty miles northwest of Anchorage, the Tordrillo Range rises from Cook Inlet tidewater flats to 11,000-foot glaciated summits. Maritime storms coming off the inlet deposit an average of 600 inches of annual snowpack—dense, layered powder that clings to 45-degree faces, sculpts into deep spine walls, and fills bottomless glacial bowls that no snowcat or resort will ever touch.
At Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, you fly directly from Judd Lake aboard our Eurocopter AS350 B3 A-Star. No road approach. No lift line. No limit to the terrain that becomes yours for the week.

From First Light to Last Run
Morning Briefing
Avalanche conditions reviewed, weather analyzed, terrain selected by your guide team. Breakfast served family-style in the lodge dining room.
First Helicopter Departure
Load into the Eurocopter A-Star from Judd Lake helipad. Fly 10–20 minutes into primary terrain selection. The day begins.
Peak Ski Time
Multiple high-alpine drops guided by IFMGA-certified lead guides. Terrain changes with conditions and group preferences.
Mountain Lunch
Mid-mountain lunch prepared by lodge kitchen. Hot soups, sandwiches, and field snacks served in the terrain.
Return to Lodge
Hot tub, Nordic sauna, and Wellness Center are open immediately post-ski. Guided stretching available.
Après & Dinner
Evening après in Moose Hall. Full gourmet dinner prepared by executive chefs using Alaskan ingredients. Stories shared over single malts.

Every Tordrillo heli-skiing week is led by IFMGA/AMGA-certified mountain guides with decades of Alaska backcountry experience. Daily avalanche briefings are given before every departure. Each guest is fitted with a BCA Float airbag, Mammut beacon, probe, and shovel.
Our guide-to-guest ratio is 4:1 maximum — one guide per aircraft group. Our team includes a physician (M.D.) and a licensed Paramedic available on expeditions.

After 7,000-foot descents, the body needs a wilderness recovery system to match. Our 2,400 sq ft Wellness Center features custom cedar Nordic saunas, Judd Lake cold plunge decks, Shiftwave neural therapy, and on-site massage practitioners.
Our signature AlpenSauna is heli-repositioned to remote mountain peaks — allowing mid-expedition thermal recovery above the glacier with views that extend to Denali.
