THE LODGE
EXPERIENCE
An Extraordinary Private Wilderness Property. Accessible Only by Air.
From the cedar-beamed Main Lodge to the private Judd Lake Lodge across the water — every inch of this property was designed to amplify the Alaska wilderness around it.
60 Miles from Anchorage. A World Away from Everything.
Tordrillo Mountain Lodge sits on the shore of Judd Lake, deep in the foothills of the Alaska Range. The property is surrounded by spruce forest, tundra meadows, and glacier-fed waterways. There are no roads to Judd Lake. The only way in is by floatplane from Lake Hood Seaplane Base in Anchorage.
The arrival itself is part of the experience. The floatplane climbs out of Anchorage, follows Cook Inlet northwest, and then the Alaska Range rises from the horizon — sharp white peaks above the green tundra. The plane descends onto the glassy surface of Judd Lake. Lodge staff meets every arrival at the dock.

When the aurora runs in winter, it runs above a landscape unlike anywhere else in the world. Guides know when and where to position guests for northern lights viewing from the lake.
